WELCOME TO THE NYC TARTAN WEEK MÒD

New York City Tartan Week is proud to host the fourth annual NYC Tartan Week Mòd, a celebration of the Gaelic language and song. Inspired by the long tradition of Mòds in Scotland, the event brings together singers, learners, and lovers of Gaelic culture for a day of music, community, and friendly competition.

Competitors from across North America and beyond will take part in a variety of singing competitions and workshops throughout the day. Spectators are warmly invited to attend and experience the beauty of Gaelic song. Admission is free, and guests are welcome to come and enjoy the performances, learn about the tradition, and support the competitors.

The day will also feature a special performance from BBC ALBA weather presenter and renowned Gaelic singer Joy Dunlop, who will perform a few songs between competitions, adding a special musical moment to the day’s program.

The 2026 NYC Tartan Week Mòd will take place on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, located in the heart of Manhattan’s Upper East Side on Madison Avenue at 73rd Street. Join us for a memorable day celebrating the language, music, and spirit of Gaelic culture.
