Due to the forecast for stormy weather tomorrow, April 6th, The American-Scottish Foundation Tartan Day Observance at Bryant Park is postponed until Saturday, April 8th. The Observance is being integrated into The Pipes and Drums on the Fountain Terrace event in Bryant Park.
The Tartan Day Observance recognizes and celebrates, through readings and music, The Declaration of Arbroath, signed on April 6th, 1320 and the US Senate’s designation, in 2005, of April 6th of each year as “National Tartan Day.” A Presidential Proclamation was signed into effect by George W. Bush in 2008. For all the community.
Tartan Day Observance is presented by the American-Scottish Foundation.
