Hunt and Gather Finally, spring arrived, in a galvanized bucket of tulips at Union Square and planters full of tulips, daffodils and hyacinth. People stripped off coats for a first peek at spring fashion. And Saturday’s Tartan Day Parade, the city’s shortest (10 blocks, 20 minutes), was alive with tartans, bagpipes and Scotties. Fabergé held an egg hunt: 250 artist-designed eggs placed across the city to be auctioned on April 22 as a benefit for Studio in a School, an arts education group, and the Elephant Family, a global conservation organization.
